Skapion raised a $36 million seed round to accelerate its native counter-swarm defence system for coordinated drone attacks.

The round was co-led by UP Partners and Khosla Ventures, with Fusion VC, Stratos Ventures, TBD VC and q Fund also participating. Skapion is developing a mobile system intended to detect, engage and neutralise coordinated drone swarms. The company says the system is designed for contested or communications-limited environments, including protection of manoeuvring forces, fixed installations and critical infrastructure.
