The Shanghai company has not disclosed a timetable, offering size or valuation, and no prospectus is yet public. Reuters previously reported that AgiBot had appointed CITIC Securities, CICC and Morgan Stanley and was targeting a valuation of HK$40–50 billion, roughly $5.1–6.4 billion. Founded in February 2023, AgiBot has expanded across full humanoids, wheeled and semi-humanoid robots, quadrupeds and service platforms. Its 15,000th robot rolled off the line in June, less than three months after production reached 10,000. The total appears to span AgiBot’s full and wheeled humanoid platforms rather than 15,000 bipedal humanoids. The listing confirmation places AgiBot inside a broader shift toward public financing across China’s robotics sector. Unitree is pursuing a Shanghai STAR Market listing, while LimX Dynamics raised nearly $200 million in pre-IPO financing this month, taking its funding over the past six months to around $400 million. Hong Kong alone has at least 46 robotics-related companies in its IPO pipeline, representing more than 10% of applicants, according to Bloomberg data. The growing pipeline will expose robotics companies to more detailed scrutiny of revenue, margins, manufacturing costs, customer deployments and continuing capital requirements after several years of rapid private funding.
