Gritt launches with $32.4M for solar construction Date: 2026-07-21 Type: ARTICLE Deck: The company’s equipment-mounted robots are already handling utility-scale solar panels across more than seven jobsites. URL: https://korthos.xyz/research/gritt-launches-with-32-4m-for-solar-construction Construction robotics has attracted more than $500 million in disclosed funding this year. The latest is @GrittRobotics, which emerged from stealth with $32.4 million across its pre-seed and Series A, including a new $26 million round led by Obvious Ventures. Its systems attach to existing equipment to unload, move and position 100-pound solar panels across irregular sites. Gritt says an eight-person crew can increase output from roughly 800 panels per day to 3,000–4,000. It has installed tens of thousands of modules with zero reported breakages, deployed across 7+ jobsites and contracted to support 2.8 GW over the next 18 months. It plans to expand into fastening, post drilling, rack assembly and other construction tasks. Several companies are now applying robotics to utility-scale solar, including Terabase, Luminous Robotics and Built Robotics. --- Have a robotics update Korthos should review?
