About Able Innovations
ALTA positions itself beside a bed, stretcher or imaging table and uses its transfer surface to move a patient laterally without staff lifting or pulling the person across sheets. Powered strafing, zero-radius turning, height adjustment and tilt help one caregiver align the platform in constrained hospital rooms.
Sensors monitor surrounding obstacles, support-surface position and the patient during the transfer, allowing the device to modify its motion around safety conditions. Able supplies implementation support alongside the platform, and ALTA has progressed into hospital evaluations and deployments in Canada and the United States rather than remaining a laboratory prototype.
