About ACWA Robotics
Pathfinder enters a pressurised drinking-water main through a dedicated access point and travels with or against the flow while the network remains in service. Its articulated body is designed to pass bends and branches inside pipes around 250 millimetres in diameter, then return to the launch point after a programmed inspection route.
The robot records pipe location and condition information that can be associated with the utility’s network map. ACWA reports round trips of up to 400 metres under pressures of three to five bar, allowing operators to identify deterioration and prioritise repairs without excavating long sections or interrupting customer supply.
