About Arlo Industries
Arlo Industries is developing Mentat as a distributed passive-optical detection network. Each node combines cameras, edge compute and local tracking software, allowing several inexpensive sensors to observe the same airspace without transmitting radar energy. Tracks from separate viewpoints are fused into a three-dimensional estimate of an aircraft’s position and movement.
The nodes use mesh, cellular, sub-gigahertz or satellite links selected for each deployment. Operators can distribute them around a protected site or forward area and connect the resulting tracks with existing command or counter-UAS systems. Arlo has conducted field demonstrations in Ukraine and remains at the early product and deployment stage, developing a lower-cost sensing layer for drones and other airborne threats.
