About Aylight
Aylight’s core device is a frequency-modulated comb laser that produces many stable optical carriers from a single laser cavity. The architecture can generate channels across the O, C and L telecommunications bands, with programmable spacing from 10 to 200 GHz and configurations extending to more than 1,000 wavelengths. A total optical output of up to 20 dBm allows one source to feed dense parallel links rather than requiring a separate laser for every channel.
In an AI datacentre, those carriers can be modulated and routed through optical interconnects connecting accelerators, switches and memory systems. Aylight is developing the source as an isolator-free, feedback-tolerant component, reducing the packaging and control burden around high-channel-count photonics. The company sits upstream of robot and physical-AI applications by increasing bandwidth and energy efficiency inside the compute infrastructure used to train and serve large models.
