About Blue Atlas Robotics
Blue Atlas Robotics’ Sentinus is a compact inspection ROV designed for one-person deployment from a quay or vessel. The aluminium platform uses multiple thrusters, high-output lighting and six to eight cameras depending on configuration to collect overlapping imagery around submerged structures. Onboard visual-lock and self-steering functions help the vehicle maintain a consistent relationship with the inspected surface.
Captured images are processed into point clouds and three-dimensional photogrammetry models of hulls, harbour walls, tanks, pipes and environmental sites. Engineers can measure defects and compare repeat surveys without relying only on linear inspection video. Blue Atlas sells Sentinus as equipment or provides complete field-inspection services, combining the robot, operator, data processing and reporting around the customer’s maintenance workflow.
