About Cainiao
Cainiao combines fulfilment centres, cross-border transport, sorting, delivery stations and logistics software within one merchant network. Warehouse systems allocate storage, sequence picking and coordinate automated equipment based on incoming orders. Its hardware includes mobile robots, automated sortation and ZeeBot units that climb multi-level racks to retrieve containers without dedicating a lift to every aisle.
The company uses its own network as the deployment environment before offering technology and fulfilment services to external merchants. Cainiao announced a 26,000-square-metre Dutch centre using more than 100 self-developed climbing robots for European B2B and consumer orders. The project forms part of a wider 2026 plan to establish robot warehouses across Europe, the United States and Asia.
