About Dexta Robotics

Dexmo is a wearable exoskeleton that mechanically tracks finger movement and applies force feedback to the user. Its articulated linkages measure the pose of individual fingers with 11 degrees of freedom, while force-feedback mechanisms resist selected movements when the virtual or remote hand contacts an object. This gives the operator both hand-position input and a physical indication of shape or constraint.

The glove connects through software interfaces used in VR, simulation, research and robotic teleoperation. In a remote-manipulation workflow, human finger motion is retargeted to a robot hand and contact information from the robot is converted into resistance at the glove. Dexta supplies development tools for integrating the tracked pose and feedback channels with Unity, Unreal and custom applications, allowing users to build interaction systems beyond camera-only gesture recognition.
