About Enigma
Enigma is developing a robot-independent intelligence stack comprising a model layer, an abstraction layer and interfaces for human instruction. The abstraction layer translates task intent into controls appropriate to different machines, allowing models and interaction methods to be reused without requiring every robot to expose the same hardware or software architecture.
Its public experiment places physical robots online so users can direct tasks through text, audio, video and interactive control. The resulting attempts generate data on how people communicate physical intent and how different interfaces affect robot performance. Enigma intends to apply those records to deployments in healthcare, retail and entertainment.
