Fleet Robotics builds untethered, swarm-based mobile robots that remain aboard ships while cleaning and inspecting submerged surfaces. The hull-cleaning system uses replaceable nylon-bristle brushes, a 360-degree visual-inspection view, steel-thickness measurement from 0.5 to 25 mm, coating measurement from 0 to 2 mm, 25-metre operating depth and three to four hours between charges.
The service is aimed at biofouling mitigation, coating and hull inspection, and continuous data collection while a vessel is in transit. Fleet reports 400 square metres per hour of cleaning coverage and a 23 kg robot, and is extending data-inspection work to offshore and pipe applications. The company is seeking early adopters.
