About FocalTherics
FocalTherics commercialises Focal One, a robotic high-intensity focused-ultrasound system that plans and delivers non-incisional thermal ablation. The platform combines real-time ultrasound imaging with imported MRI or biopsy information, allowing clinicians to define a treatment volume and monitor energy delivery. A robotically positioned transducer directs focused ultrasound into selected tissue while preserving the surrounding path as far as the treatment plan allows.
The system is used within image-guided therapeutic-ultrasound programmes, with the physician retaining responsibility for clinical decisions. In prostate procedures, the physician reviews the anatomy, sets the ablation plan and supervises treatment through the integrated workstation. The company launched its first European commercial programme for rectal endometriosis at Toulouse University Hospital in June 2026. FocalTherics is the operating brand of EDAP TMS, linking the newer identity to the group’s established HIFU manufacturing, regulatory and clinical-support infrastructure.
