About Fotokite
Fotokite Sigma uses a powered tether for continuous electricity, secure data transmission and physical restraint. The aircraft launches from a vehicle-mounted or portable base and holds position automatically at heights up to 150 feet, carrying thermal, wide-angle and zoom cameras without requiring an officer to fly it manually.
Live software distributes video and incident views to command staff and authorised remote users, while APIs connect the feed to public-safety systems. The IP55-rated aircraft can remain airborne for extended incidents and land automatically when required. Sigma is deployed by fire, police and emergency organisations under regulatory treatment specific to actively tethered public-safety aircraft.
