About Halo
HaloBraid is designed to automate the repeated crossover motion used to complete an individual braid. The stylist sections the hair, prepares the strands and starts the braid by hand before placing it into the device. HaloBraid then continues the pattern with controlled tension and spacing, allowing the stylist to begin another section or supervise several devices.
The product is intended to preserve the stylist’s creative and client-facing role while reducing hand strain and the time spent on repetitive finishing. Halo has built hundreds of prototypes and is testing the workflow with professional braiders before commercial launch. Its USD 7 million seed round is supporting engineering, manufacturing readiness, salon partnerships and validation across different hair textures and braid requirements.
