About Halo.Car
Halo’s service separates vehicle delivery from the customer’s rental period. A trained remote pilot drives the electric car from a control centre to the customer, using multiple cameras, cellular modems and antennas installed on the vehicle. Once delivered, the customer drives the car normally; after the booking, Halo remotely collects it and returns it to the operating base.
The remote-driving system uses several mobile-network connections and operational monitoring to maintain command and video links. Halo removed the in-vehicle safety driver from selected commercial deliveries in Las Vegas in June 2023 while retaining a chase vehicle as an additional oversight layer. The approach reduces the need for physical rental branches or customer shuttle trips without representing the vehicles as autonomous robotaxis.
