About Harvested Robotics
Rakshak mounts machine vision, compute and high-power laser modules on a tractor-driven frame. Cameras observe the crop row as the vehicle moves, while AI models separate wanted plants from weeds. Actuated optics then direct laser energy at selected weed tissue, suppressing unwanted plants without applying herbicide across the field or disturbing soil mechanically.
The system is intended to fit into the farmer’s existing tractor workflow: an operator drives or pulls the implement through the crop while the perception and targeting layers act automatically. Harvested Robotics is developing the platform through prototype and field-trial programmes, with current work focused on improving recognition across crop stages, weed species and changing light. The architecture allows additional laser channels and cameras to increase working width and throughput as the product matures. Rakshak is therefore a precision implement rather than a standalone autonomous tractor, concentrating the robotics on plant identification and treatment.
