About Infera

Infera converts a scientist’s natural-language protocol into a validated sequence of commands for laboratory equipment. Its AI layer interprets the requested workflow, but deterministic software checks volumes, labware, instrument capabilities and execution order before producing the machine-ready run. This separation is intended to preserve flexibility at the protocol-authoring stage without leaving physical instrument control to an unconstrained language model.

The platform is hardware-agnostic and is being developed around equipment from suppliers including Opentrons, Hamilton and Tecan. Researchers can describe automated and manual steps within one protocol, execute supported operations and retain an audit trail of what occurred. Infera therefore sits above the individual liquid handler or laboratory robot as the orchestration and validation layer connecting scientific intent with several instruments.
