About LAYN
LAYN develops construction-scale additive manufacturing through its own printer hardware, control software and printable cementitious materials. A digital building or infrastructure design is converted into layer paths, after which the machine pumps and deposits material along the programmed geometry. The process can form walls, street furniture and architectural components without conventional moulds for every shape.
The Cairo company designs the mix, printing parameters and machine around local climate, structural and finishing requirements. Reinforcement, services, openings and final surfaces are coordinated with conventional construction trades throughout the build. LAYN has completed commercial work for major Egyptian developers and raised USD 1 million in 2026 to expand production, engineering and autonomous printing capability.
