About LMI Technologies

LMI’s Gocator smart sensors combine laser profiling, structured-light or snapshot imaging with onboard measurement tools. The sensor captures a three-dimensional representation of the part and can calculate dimensions, surface variation or presence directly on the device without a separate industrial computer. Snapshot models are available with certified integrations for Universal Robots, simplifying camera mounting and communication in cobot cells.

Manufacturers use the resulting data for inspection, robot guidance, assembly verification and process control. Multiple sensors can be synchronised around larger or occluded parts, while software exposes point clouds and measurements to PLCs and robot controllers. LMI acquired FringeAI in 2021 to add edge-AI, IIoT and 5G software capabilities to its three-dimensional sensing portfolio. LMI itself operates within the TKH Group.
