Microchip's dsPIC digital-signal controllers combine microcontroller functions with specialised arithmetic for field-oriented motor control. Reference software supports brushless, permanent-magnet, stepper and brushed motors, while gate drivers and power devices form the electrical interface between the controller and motor phases.
