About Nexa
Nexa’s cattle-monitoring system uses a battery-free microchip inserted beneath the skin of the ear during an existing handling procedure. A paired external ear tag powers the implant and relays its measurements over a long-range link to a central farm beacon, avoiding regular charging or battery replacement inside the animal.
Web and mobile software converts the data into alerts for disease, heat, rumination, behaviour and location. The system integrates with herd-management products and sort gates so detected animals can enter existing treatment or breeding workflows. Nexa is currently enrolling farms into pilot deployments rather than operating as a fully scaled commercial monitoring network.
