About Opteran Technologies
Opteran Mind uses panoramic visual input and compact neuromorphic algorithms to learn routes and recognise places from the appearance of the surrounding environment. A robot can be shown a path once, then localise and navigate without GPS, lidar maps, reflective markers or a large pre-recorded training dataset.
The software runs at the edge and combines localisation, path following and collision avoidance across indoor and outdoor conditions, including changing light, reflections and visually repetitive spaces. Robot manufacturers integrate the system with their own vehicle controls and safety layers, allowing the same navigation stack to support forklifts, warehouse robots and other mobile platforms without redesigning the operating site.
