Oscorp Energy develops conveyor-side perception and robotic sorting systems for battery and waste-processing facilities. Cameras and other sensors observe material moving through the line, while edge AI identifies batteries and classifies chemistry or risk-relevant characteristics. A robotic removal mechanism then diverts selected items before they reach shredders, compactors or downstream processes where damaged lithium-ion cells can cause fires.

The system is designed as a modular addition to an existing material-recovery facility rather than a replacement for the full sorting line. Each detection and removal event also creates operational data on the incoming waste stream, giving plant managers visibility into battery volumes, chemistry and contamination patterns. Oscorp’s wider platform combines sorting hardware with analytics and live facility intelligence, allowing the same perception layer to support safety intervention, material recovery and future automation of additional waste categories.
