About Steering Machines
At Comexi, MOBY moves large loads through constrained production areas to reduce delays between machines and material shortages. The safety architecture combines a single absolute-and-incremental encoder, a microScan3 laser scanner and a scalable Flexi Soft controller.
The scanner is designed to tolerate dirt, dust and sunlight, while the motion system achieved performance level d for movement, speed and turning. This configuration shows how Steering Machines adapts the vehicle to the safety and space constraints of an operating factory.
