About Vay
Vay’s service places a remotely driven electric car at the customer’s selected location. A trained teledriver controls the empty vehicle from a remote station using camera, audio and vehicle data; once it arrives, the customer enters and drives it conventionally without a remote operator controlling the occupied journey.
At the end of the rental, the customer leaves the car within the service area and Vay remotely moves it to the next booking, parking location or charging point. The app supports minute- and day-based rental in Las Vegas. The same teledriving architecture is also being developed for commercial fleets and autonomous-vehicle support.
