Serve Robotics acquired Vayu Robotics in August 2025, bringing Vayu's AI foundation-model technology and autonomy team into Serve's last-mile delivery programme. Before the transaction, Vayu developed perception and navigation systems for autonomous mobile robots, combining machine learning, sensing and simulation for changing urban environments.

Vayu's technology connected onboard perception with navigation and motion planning for delivery robots. The acquired foundation-model and simulation capabilities are being combined with Serve's autonomy stack and sidewalk-delivery data to support learned navigation, safety and other mobile-robot workflows.
