About Westlake Robotics
Westlake Robotics develops the General Action Expert model as a whole-body control layer for humanoid robots. GAE coordinates locomotion, posture and upper-body manipulation through one learned action system that governs the arms, legs and torso together. Titan o1 uses the model to reproduce human movement in real time from motion-capture input, including actions that were not individually programmed into a fixed behaviour library.
The model is trained from large collections of human joint trajectories and reinforced in simulation before transfer to physical platforms. Westlake describes the architecture as a general-purpose “cerebellum” beneath language and vision models: higher-level systems determine the intended action, while GAE converts that intent into coordinated robot motion. The company is also applying its control work to quadrupeds and scenario-specific machines, including an intelligent guide robot developed with LiDAR, depth cameras and reinforcement-learning navigation.
