About Yard

Yard first maps a property with LiDAR to create the boundaries, obstacles and preferred mowing routes required by its autonomous equipment. The operating team then transports robots between customers, deploys the correct map and supervises missions through a live control system. The machines handle repeated mowing while field staff complete trimming, edging, clearing and other work that remains difficult to automate reliably.

Customers buy weekly or biweekly property-maintenance services, with Yard retaining ownership and operation of the robots. This lets Yard retain responsibility for mapping, route changes, transport, charging, repairs and exception handling across the fleet. Operating many properties through one service also creates field data on terrain, vegetation and failure conditions that can be used to improve the robots without asking each homeowner to manage an evolving autonomy product.
