About A3R

A3R combined an industrial multirotor aircraft, lidar mapping payload and ExynAI autonomy for exploration inside mines and other GPS-denied spaces. The system created its own map while flying, identified obstacles and selected routes without a preloaded environment model. Missions could continue without persistent communications between the aircraft and operator.

The platform was deployed for underground survey and inspection, producing three-dimensional maps of stopes, drifts and inaccessible areas. Exyn subsequently introduced ExynAero and the modular Nexys mapping system as newer generations of its autonomous-reality-capture portfolio. A3R is a legacy product and is no longer the company’s current aerial platform.
