About RedDragon
RedDragon is a one-way attack uncrewed aircraft designed to continue its mission when satellite navigation, communications or bandwidth are disrupted. Onboard perception and autonomy allow the aircraft to search for, identify and lock onto a target without requiring continuous remote piloting or a high-bandwidth video link.
The platform is being developed for precision engagement in contested environments and has received US Defense Innovation Unit support through Project Artemis. Its operating concept places target detection, terminal guidance and mission decisions aboard the aircraft, reducing dependence on a distant control station. RedDragon remains a defence-development and procurement programme with limited fielding.
