About Atlas Ultra 4D LiDAR

Atlas Ultra uses frequency-modulated continuous-wave sensing to measure three-dimensional position and per-point radial velocity from the reflected optical signal. Direct velocity output helps perception software separate moving objects from static structures and track motion without relying entirely on changes between successive frames. The architecture also supports long-range detection and resistance to interference from sunlight and other lidar sensors.

Aeva packages the sensing and processing stack for integration into vehicles and industrial machines through automotive and production-oriented interfaces. Customers combine its point-cloud and velocity data with camera, radar and localisation inputs for object detection, free-space estimation and trajectory planning. Atlas Ultra is being developed for automotive programmes and industrial autonomy applications requiring long-range perception in a compact sensor package.
