About Aeva Omni

Omni uses frequency-modulated continuous-wave sensing to measure both distance and instantaneous radial velocity for each detected point. This allows perception software to distinguish moving objects directly from the lidar return rather than estimating motion only by comparing successive frames.

Aeva integrates the CoreVision lidar-on-chip and X1 system-on-chip within a compact passively cooled enclosure. The sensor is rated for harsh environmental exposure and combines a wide vertical field of view with an 80-metre stated maximum range, supporting near-field awareness around robots, vehicles and industrial equipment.
