About Applanix POS LV

POS LV combines GNSS receivers, an inertial measurement unit and navigation software for land-based mobile mapping and vehicle localisation. It records position, velocity and full orientation for lidar, cameras and other sensors mounted on road and rail platforms.

The tightly coupled navigation filter preserves trajectory continuity through bridges, urban canyons and short GNSS outages. Real-time outputs support live operation, while POSPac software refines the trajectory after collection for survey-grade georeferencing. Trimble supplies several performance configurations matched to different vehicles and mapping programmes.
