About Armatrix Snake Arm
The Snake Arm uses a long series of articulated sections to follow a curved path through manholes, pipework and crowded machinery. Its actuators remain outside the arm, leaving the inserted structure free of motors and electronics and allowing it to work in flooded, high-temperature or explosive environments.
Cameras, sensors and interchangeable tools can be mounted at the tip for inspection, cleaning, painting, welding and remote manipulation. The operator controls the tool while the arm’s joints follow the established path, preserving access around obstacles without requiring a large rigid robot inside the workspace.
