About Armo

Armo is MUSE's autonomous mobile robot for retail stores. Task-specific units support digital-signage promotion, shelf-image capture and automated stockout checking, and the transport of goods within a store.

MUSE and Welcia Pharmacy began testing Armo in October 2024. The Koto-Hirano store has operated both promotion and imaging units; the imaging configuration moves through the store, captures shelf data and checks for out-of-stock conditions. A July 2026 announcement expands the promotion trial to five stores from August 2026 through January 2027. The five-store scope is a pilot, while imaging remains confined to the existing Koto-Hirano installation.
