About Atom 01
Atom 01 is a full-size untethered humanoid prototype developed in Bengaluru. General Autonomy has designed the robot as a lower-cost platform that can be manufactured largely with locally developed components. The current machine weighs approximately 31 kg and is being used to develop bipedal locomotion, whole-body control and autonomous behaviour before a broader developer release.
The company intends to give developers a complete physical platform for building perception, manipulation and interaction applications. General Autonomy has discussed pre-orders and an initial production target of 100 units by December 2026. Atom 01 remains an early prototype and planned developer platform.
