About AutoStore R5

AutoStore R5 travels across the top of an AutoStore Grid and lowers a lifting mechanism through the cells to retrieve a requested storage bin. It carries the bin to a workstation for picking or replenishment and returns it to a software-selected location within the cube.

Each robot receives tasks independently, allowing the grid to continue operating when another unit requires service. Route allocation and opportunity charging support long operating days and high system availability. More than 30,000 R5 robots operate across AutoStore installations in over 65 countries.
