About N-170
N-170 uses direct motor-to-gearbox assembly, revised mechanical modules and Comau’s e-Motion control algorithms to deliver accurate motion across a large working area. The architecture supports faster maintenance through modular replacement and visual recalibration, while a 170 kg wrist capacity accommodates welding guns, large grippers and additive or adhesive-deposition tooling.
Performance Level d Cartesian safety functions can supervise position and working zones inside multi-robot cells. Comau manufactures the platform through an automated line at its Turin robotics centre and supplies controllers, application packages and lifecycle services. The robot is deployed in automotive body shops, logistics, food production and general manufacturing requiring broad reach, high payload and coordinated cell operation.
