About S-18
S-18 is a compact six-axis robot with a hollow wrist that routes process cables and hoses internally through the arm. This arrangement reduces external dress-pack movement around fixtures and supports welding, dispensing and machine-tending tools. The robot carries 18 kg across a 1.73-metre reach while occupying a 330-millimetre-square mounting footprint.
Its IP65 body and IP68 wrist support operation around dust, coolant and process residues. Comau supplies the robot with its control platform, offline programming tools and interfaces for safety equipment, vision and factory systems. Integrators use the S-18 in dense production cells for assembly, handling, packaging, arc welding and material transfer.
