About Genesis XL v1.8
Genesis XL v1.8 uses an overhead Cartesian gantry to move a tool head across a three-by-six-metre growing area. The robot positions itself over individual plants and automatically exchanges tools for seed injection, watering, soil-moisture measurement and rotary weed cultivation.
FarmBot’s web application manages the garden map, planting sequence, schedules and manual commands, while the open-source hardware and software allow users to add sensors, tools and custom routines. Weather-resistant electronics and fixed-bed geometry support repeatable outdoor operation. The system is sold as a complete kit for research, education and small-scale food production.
