About Fieldworker 1
Fieldworker 1 uses four picking arms operating in parallel along raspberry rows. AI-enhanced three-dimensional cameras assess berry position and ripeness, including spectral information intended to reduce subjective colour judgement, before compliant picking mechanisms remove suitable fruit without crushing it.
The modular platform is designed to work alongside human pickers and to operate in fleets supervised by one person. Harvest records can provide growers with predictable cost and productivity information across varieties and field conditions. Fieldwork has tested the robot in Europe and Australia and is moving from technical validation into farm adoption through collaborations with growers and autonomous-platform partners.
