About Hammerhead
Hammerhead is an autonomous kinetic interceptor developed to engage one-way attack drones and other low-cost aerial threats. The air vehicle uses onboard sensing and autonomy to acquire and pursue an assigned target after launch. Its design centres on a comparatively low unit cost and a structure suitable for high-volume United States production.
The interceptor forms the effector layer of FPF Defense’s SmartFlak system, which combines autonomous launch, command functions and target engagement. FPF is developing the platform for the medium-range counter-UAS mission and is establishing an NDAA-compliant domestic supply chain. Hammerhead remains in development, with production expansion supported by the company’s 2026 strategic financing.
