About GoMate
GoMate is GAC’s third-generation humanoid and uses a variable wheel-legged mobility system. It can travel in a two-wheel mode for efficient movement or shift to a four-wheel stance for stability and obstacle crossing. The platform combines articulated upper-body motion with perception and AI models developed through GAC’s wider vehicle, intelligent-driving and smart-mobility research.
The robot supports switching between remote and autonomous control and has been demonstrated in reception and public-safety scenarios. Its variable geometry prioritises practical indoor and urban mobility over fully bipedal walking. GAC continues to use GoMate as a development and demonstration platform; the later GoMate Mini explores a smaller embodiment within the same robotics programme.
