About IRON
IRON is XPeng’s full-size humanoid programme and uses a human-proportioned mechanical structure with articulated spine, arms, legs and five-finger hands. The latest platform provides 22 degrees of freedom in each hand and a computing system rated at up to 2,250 TOPS. Cameras and whole-body control support walking, interaction and manipulation.
XPeng is connecting IRON with its physical-world foundation model and automotive AI infrastructure. Demonstrated applications include retail guidance, factory work, tours and patrol. The programme remains in development, with XPeng using its electric-drive, manufacturing and AI capabilities to prepare the robot for broader pilot deployment.
