About RAG Series
RAG uses an adaptive finger mechanism that can perform a parallel pinch or conform around an object during an enveloping grasp. Its 100-millimetre travel and programmable 6–65-newton force range allow one end effector to handle varied shapes and widths, with a published maximum enveloping-grip load of 5 kilograms.
The motor, drive and controller are integrated into the gripper body, and CAN FD carries commands and status between the unit and robot controller. Integrators can change grasp position and force through software, monitor whether an object is secured and use custom fingertips for the application. The IP54 housing supports deployment in machine tending, packaging, logistics and general industrial handling where part variation would otherwise require several fixed grippers.
