About KATFISH Towed SAS
KATFISH uses articulated tailfins and an onboard autopilot to maintain stable altitude and orientation during high-speed towing. The synthetic-aperture sonar produces real-time three-centimetre imagery and post-processed resolution reaching two centimetres across survey ranges up to 200 metres per side.
Standard operation covers four to ten knots, tow altitudes from five to 30 metres and depths to 300 metres. Multibeam equipment fills the nadir gap and adds bathymetry. Kraken supplies ISO-container and compact USV launch-and-recovery systems for mine countermeasures, offshore inspection and seabed survey.
