About MCS500

MCS500 is a four-axis SCARA robot with a 225 mm horizontal reach, 102 mm vertical stroke and continuous rotation at the tool axis. It carries a rated 500 g payload, reaches 1 kg under specified conditions and has stated position repeatability of 0.005 mm. A 0.42-second reference cycle and high joint speeds suit repeated planar movement between closely spaced process stations.

The 4.3 kg arm can be mounted on a table or inverted, allowing it to fit inside compact assembly, inspection and laboratory equipment. Mecademic supplies the robot as a plug-and-work automation component with an embedded controller and programming through standard computer or PLC interfaces. Integrators add the gripper, fixture and process tooling, then use the SCARA geometry for pick-and-place, dispensing, component insertion and other high-throughput tasks that fit its planar motion envelope.
