About NEST 250
NEST 250 was Dronus’ compact autonomous base for the K250 aircraft, automating storage, take-off, precision landing and charging between missions. The protected enclosure allowed scheduled inspection and security flights to run from a fixed site while a remote operator supervised aircraft and mission status.
Dronus has since moved to an elevated NEST architecture coordinated through Aerial Mesh. Current nodes mount on poles, towers and rooftops and can route several aircraft between different departure and landing stations. NEST 250 should therefore be retained as a legacy product generation within the development of the current distributed infrastructure.
