About SafeAir Mavic 3
SafeAir Mavic 3 is a self-contained recovery module fitted to compatible DJI Mavic 3 aircraft. An independent controller monitors flight parameters and identifies loss of control without relying on the drone’s own avionics. When activation criteria are met, a mechanical flight-termination system stops the rotors and the parachute deploys, while stored event data supports post-deployment analysis.
The 185 g system installs as a plug-and-play kit and can be repacked after deployment. ParaZero currently lists an average descent rate of 4.11 m/s, average impact energy of 8.2 joules and a minimum safe altitude of 40.96 metres for the product’s tested configuration. It is ASTM F3322-22 approved and supplied with documentation for waiver and operating-approval processes. The product therefore adds an independent risk-mitigation layer to enterprise flights where operations over people or other expanded permissions require a documented means of reducing impact severity.
